ROCHESTER, NY—PITTSFORD, N.Y.—Jan. 29, 2008—A new monthly podcast offering autobody shop owners and managers a discussion of current industry topics is now online from Scene Genesis.
Called “Topics in 10,” the 10-minute podcast features experts talking about “the best information and coolest facts we can compile monthly.”
“It’s upbeat and informative—and you can listen to it anytime you want,” said Beth Bailey, marketing manger with Scene Genesis, which serves the auto-repair and insurance industries. The podcast can be heard at www.sceneexchange.com.
“Because we work within different parts of the industry, we get a feel for topics from several angles,” she said. “Our goal is to provide a range of ideas that will get people thinking—and talking.”
In November, Scene Genesis introduced SceneExchange, a novel Web-based marketplace that lets customers choose participating auto-repair shops for prompt, high-quality repairs. More than 3,000 autobody shops nationally have signed up, the firm reports. SceneExchange puts collision shops on an even playing field and puts control over workflow into the shop owners’ hands. During the product’s pilot in the Carolinas, shops cited that customers were better informed about the repair process—as well as more engaged—leading to higher satisfaction rates.
